Today was an eventful day. Started with the breakfast posted yesterday. Of course something’s change. To the eggs, cheese and bacon crumbles were added. For toast we used the leftover bread from last night, Sheryl may have eaten some. Saucing the eggs was evolutionary, from Tabasco, to a New Orleans hot sauce, Tabasco Chipotle and a Paul Newman pineapple salsa.
After some fine conversation we were headed out again, Shirleen and I for meds and the rest to Target for B-day presents from Shelley and Mark. We did meet them outside Target as we were making our walk for the day.
Off to Aunt Colleen and Uncle Pat. We had a pleasant visit for an hour or so and then off to the next event.
Aunt Mary and Uncle Dan’s open house for the Army recruit – Joe(y). I appreciate Joe’s taking on a job many cannot handle. Thanks Joe!! I sure am PROUD of you; this comment seems so inadequate to my true feeling. So what next, the full Mary/Dan/Joe/Nate/Amanda/Alec/ Emily / Luke, Denny/Pat/Shirleen/Jerry/Mark/Sheryl/Abby/Danielle families went to where? The Kaiserhoff, ribs were had by many, along with tasty coleslaw and many Ray’s salad slobbered with much salad dressings. It is always nice to go with a big group of this family to the K, as this is where we had many fine dinner gatherings with Mom and Dad. We also realized that there was one person who would have remembered that Denny was a bartender their, Kay G. We had a nice Minnesota good-bye as we all struggled to leave and depart for home.
It was then head for the shed time. We arrived back in North Mankato and Jerry got to watch his Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale AZ.
Tomorrow we have brunch and later afternoon Christmas present time. We will cap off the evening with sauerkraut, knoedel oozing with butter, and pork cutlets, not sure what Marks family will have?
Standby, Jerry
